Memphis is highlighted by its geometry and uniformity. I wanted to emphasize these features by creating compositions that play with scale and alignment. In many cases, I used the letters and glyphs as artistic shapes. I found that a good way to keep focus on the typeface, even when it was being used to form non-readable structures, was by adhering to a limited color palette.
